Just in case you were wondering which autumn nail shade to go for next, it’s dark green – according to Pinterest which has seen a 75 percent surge in users searching for “dark green nails” and “acrylic nails green” (also up 55 percent).
They’re onto something. One look at the Instagram grids of our favorite nail pros and it’s clear: green is seriously chic, seriously seasonal, and seriously on-trend.
There’s one shade in particular that we keep seeing crop up on the pages of Harriet Westmoreland (the celebrity manicurist behind Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s immaculate nails) and luxury nail artist, Julia Diogo. Biosculpture’s gel polish in Free Lovin in the most stunning hunter green, which is so dark and vampy that it appears almost black in certain lights.
The good news is it pairs perfectly with those cozy knits we’ve been layering up recently. The bad news is, it’s a pro-only product, but you can find your nearest salon or nail tech here. Or, if you want something you can paint on at home, CND’s Vinylux Polish in the shade Aura fits the bill.
And, if you want to incorporate a design element into your mani, we keep seeing swirls everywhere. This dark teal green atop bare nails is gorgeous. Try Nailberry’s Teal We Meet Again.
And we love this racecar green Frenchie with an accented yin yang ring finger. For a slightly brighter green, we love Sally Hansen’s Jelly Belly Insta-Dri Nail Polish in Green Apple.
